Oxford University hosts Dr. Daniel Freeman, Co-Founder of OxfordVR, PhD, DClinPsy, for a lecture on the use of virtual reality for treating mental health conditions. Dr. Freeman explains that mental health problems are inseparable from the environment. Because of this, VR can provide a uniquely designed environment for a patient to address their specific needs and then apply these skills to the real world. OxfordVR is currently exploring the possibility of a VR program to treat other psychological problems such as depression and schizophrenia.
