Non-profit Partners - 18Loop & ACCO
18Loop is a 501c3 nonprofit that deploys VR headsets to help children with cancer tolerate treatment, recover and thrive. We reach our kids through a partnership with the American Childhood Cancer Organization. To date, 18Loop has deployed over 100 VR headsets in over 32 states. 89% of our pediatric cancer patients report that they do better fighting the disease when they use our technology. 18Loop has received grants from Servier Pharmaceuticals, Meta and Tripp.
Founded in 1970, the American Childhood Cancer Organization (ACCO) is the largest grassroots childhood cancer organization in the country, providing free educational resources including a helpful medical play kit to more than half a million children to help them understand their cancer battle, as well as comprehensive resources to help their parents make informed decisions regarding their children's cancer treatments. In addition, ACCO is a recognized leader advocating for the unique needs of childhood cancer. We work with representatives towards passing legislation to increase funding for childhood cancer research at the federal level and we are the sole national childhood cancer organization with a dedicated staff working towards reducing the disparity between adult and childhood cancer research funding at the state level. In the last few years, ACCO has secured $100 million in 7 states for childhood cancer research. Internationally, ACCO works closely with the World Health Organization's Global Initiative for Childhood Cancer.
